Yesterday, Slide announced that they have added Kroger to their list of merchants for a limited time. The question is, is it a good deal?
For those not familiar, Slide offers 4% cashback on all their merchants (or 5% if you pre-load your account). When looking at other platforms, Ibotta, Rakuten & United MPX do not offer Kroger as a brand. Fluz does offer Kroger among other grocery brands (click here for full details).
|Credit Card Rewards||4.5% – 6.0%||2.0%|
|Cashback Portal||–||3.0 – 5.5%|
|Total Return||5.5% – 7.0%||9.0% – 11.5%|
Note: Slide requires a minimum purchase amount of $100 while Fluz minimum purchase amount is $15.
For reference, Kroger gift cards can be used at any of the Kroger family of brands including:
- Barclay Jewelers
- City Market
- Food 4 Less
- Foods Co.
- Fred Meyer
- Fred Meyer Jewelers
- Fry’s Food and Drug
- King Soopers
- Littman Jewelers
- Metro Market
- Pay Less Supermarkets
- Pick ‘n Save
- Smith’s Food and Drug
Bottom line: This addition was marketed as a limited time offer. If Kroger stays longer-term, Slide becomes the leader on the Kroger brand with returns of 9.0% to 11.5%. For our comparison of all brands on the platforms, check out our complete showdown by clicking here.
