Reselling gift cards at a profit (or at least break-even) all comes down to relationships. Ultimately, if you sell a greater volume of gift cards, you can typically get better rates for the gift cards you’re trying to resell.

That said, when you’re first starting out, you probably aren’t trying to sell too many gift cards until you get the hang of it. In order to get better rates at lower volumes, you can join aggregator groups in which they buy your gift cards (& those of dozens of others) and then sell them all together to get better bulk rates. One aggregator that we recommend is The Card Bay (TCB). We’ve sold many gift cards to TCB over the years and our experiences have been great. The platform and TCB slack group are great places to start for beginners (& advanced resellers as well). Some other prominent places to re-sell gift card include Raise and Gift Card Wiki.

Second Stop: Visit the The Card Bay and consider joining.

The number of ways to use your credit card points and miles for amazing travel opportunities are immense. That said, we are solely focused on earning those points and miles from reselling gift cards. So here are a few websites that we recommend to check out when you’re ready to redeem that will help you to maximize their value…

When you stay organized and make sure you are selling your gift cards at a profit (or at least break-even), the credit card points are essentially free. That said, if you don’t stay organized and are selling cards at a loss, then you can definitely lose money re-selling gift cards and lose it quickly. We’d recommend you start very small until you get the hang of it and then scale up.

About Us

We started this website in January 2020 as a passion project. We personally started reselling gift cards in 2019 and the entire hobby can be overwhelming. Gift Card Report is meant to serve as a central repository for all the information we wish we’d known and had available when we were first getting started.
